Heluva Good Dip Hot and Spicy Flavored with Tabasco

I was at a grocery store and there was a person demonstrating this food; Helluva Good hot and spicy dip with Tabasco sauce. It comes in a 12 ounce or 340 grams container. It is soft. It indicated it was a new limited edition. The cost was reasonable.
It has a creamy texture. It has a nice bite to it. It tastes great on different crackers; like Ritz or Townhouse. or Club. I tried it with a with Good Health veggie chips that are shaped like little bowls.

Laughing Cow Creamy Swiss French Onion

I bought the round container of creamy Swiss French onion cheese wedges by The Laughing Cow. It has 8 wedges of cheese. Each wedge is 0.75 ounces or 21 grams. The net weight is 6 ounces or 171 grams. It indicates no artificial flavors and no artificial preservatives. It indicates it is 35 calories per wedge.
I tried it. It was very good. It has a rich and creamy taste. It was easy to spread on crackers. With it in individual wedges, it was easy to just to have some without exposing most of it to air which tends to dry things out.  I have tried it on different crackers. I liked it on a Ritz crackers. I liked it on Townhouse crackers. I like it by itself too.

They have other flavors. I will be trying them and blogging about them here.

Good Health Veggie Chips with Sea Salt

I saw a bag of veggie chips from Good Health. I bought the 6.75 ounce bag. The bag indicates the chips has the vitamin values of broccoli, radishes, tomatoes, spinach and carrots. The bag indicates it has 30 percent less fat than potato chips. The bag indicates it is a non-GMO food. On the back of the bag it indicates there are no artificial colors, no added sugar, no added preservatives, no hydrogenated oils and 0 grams trans fats.
I found this to be quite good. It is not greasy like some chips. I think it is a tasty way to get ones vegetables. It has a nice crunch to it. I like the variety of colors. It is not easy to break like other crackers.

Since it shaped like little bowls, it is good for scooping out dips and use to put condiments on. I like it to use it with ready made dips like one from Philadelphia cream cheese. They have strawberry flavor, salmon flavor, jalapeno flavor and others. There was a dip from Helluva Good cheese that had Tabasco sauce in it, very good with nice bite.

The Little Potato Company Three Cheese and Savory Herb Flavors.

I saw new products from The Little Potato Company. It was in the new produce section of the grocery store. The two new flavors are three cheese and savory herb. I have tried this product before but these are new flavors I have not tried before. It was good and I had hoped these would be too. It did not need refrigeration. It kept really well. It was easy to prepare. One just removed the cardboard sleeve and the seasoning packet. One microwaved it for the time mentioned in the instructions. Once out of the microwave, one sprinkled the seasoning on the potatoes with either oil or butter. It was easy for this single guy to make. Each potato was bite size but it was easier to eat with them sliced in half.

I will be trying their other products and blogging about them here at Big Guy Eating (where I as a big guy who likes to eat also like to blog about it).
It indicates 5 minutes but my microwave is 700 watts. The 5 minutes is for a more powerful. For a less powerful microwave, a longer time is required. I added more time so it would cook thoroughly. Once cooked, I added the flavor packet. It was nice but I wished I had more of it to sprinkle on all the potatoes. One added oil or butter to help the seasoning to adhere to the potatoes. It was pretty good. I will be getting this again.

I cooked this longer since that is what is needed for a lower power microwave like I have - a 700 watt one. It came with a packet of cheese in powder form. Like the savory herb, I wish there was more of it. I sprinkled it on the potatoes. It was good. One uses oil or butter to have it adhere to the potatoes.

I think The Little Potatoes Company Blog is interesting.

Annie Chun's Seaweed Crisps; Korean Style BBQ and Gochujang.

I was shopping in the food section of Walmart. I came across these. It was by Annie Chun's. It was seaweed snacks. One was Korean style barbecue flavored and the other was gochujang flavored. It was different. It was in the 'Asian' section. Since I like trying new things, I bought the Korean style barbecue flavored one and the gochujang flavored one. The package indicates it is 80 calories per serving; both flavors. It indicated it was vegan, gluten free, 0 grams trans fat and cholesterol free. It indicated the Korean style barbecue was 'crunchy smokey' and the gochujang as 'crunchy sweet and spicy'. Unlike so many packages that show it better looking on the outside than what it looks like on the inside, both looked like the package photo.
I checked out the Annie Chun's site. They have a nice variety of food items. I will be trying other things they make. I think it will be a taste adventure.

I tried the gochujang flavored one. I had no idea what it was. I tried it. It has a little bit of bite to it. It has a little bit of seaweed taste to it but does not overwhelm it. It does have a nice crunch to it. I liked the flavor.

I tried the Korean style flavor. It did have a nice smoky flavor. It had a nice crunch to it. It was not as sweet as I thought it would. It did have a seaweed taste but it was not overwhelming. I think it balanced well with the barbecue flavor.

Ronzoni Healthy Harvest Whole Wheat Pasta and Ancient Grains Penne Rigate

It seems one can have ones pasta and eat healthy too. I bought a box of Ronzoni Healthy Harvest that has whole wheat pasta plus ancient grains penne rigate. It just sounds healthy. The box indicates it has whole grain plus quinoa, amaranth, millet, sorghum and teff. It also indicates that it is non GMO verified.

At times sounding healthy would mean not really tasting good. I tried it by itself. It was pretty good. I tried it with a little bit of butter and a pinch of salt. It was good. The way I cook, I tried it with different 'sauces'. I tried it with a no-sugar-added spaghetti sauce. I tried it with a cup of soup mix. I tried it with a can of tomato bistro soup. I tried it with garlic and herb butter (in the butter section of the grocery store).
As a diabetic who is trying to eat healthier, I think this is a great way to do it. One can eat healthy if it tastes good. I think this is good for those who want to eat healthier and/or have better diet. As with any diet or eating plan, portion control is important. I think too much of a good thing is still too much. I would only recommend this for healthier eating after one has consulted with ones doctor and/or nutritionists. What is good for one person might not be so good for another.

Crab Stuffed Mushrooms and Crab Cakes at Bertucci's in North Andover MA

I went to a going away part of a friend. It was held at Bertucci's in North Andover MA. It is a really nice place. The seating is unique. There is a hall between eating areas where one can see them prepare food and cook it. I took photos of the inside. The service was friendly and well paced. The atmosphere was nice, and warm. I think it is a place where everyone can enjoy themselves.
This is the left side of the hall that is between the two seating areas.

This is the right side of the hall that is between the two seating areas.

This is the crab cakes. There was side dishes of roasted green beans, and potatoes. They left a cheese shredder on the table. One of the those who were with me asked if it could remain. The waiter agreed. I am glad he did. I put it on my green beans, and potatoes. It made them taste even better. The crab cakes were delicious. I really liked them.

I normally don't care for green beans but being roasted gave it a different flavor. Adding the cheese made it taste even better.

Here is the appetizer mushrooms stuffed with crab meat. It was really good. It was just the right portion for an appetizer. It did not fill me up where I would not be able to finish the main course.

It seems many places have appetizers that are more the size of a main course. There are times I ordered an appetizer not realizing how big it was. It would fill me up to the point where I had to take home half the main course since I could not finish it.
