A Seaglass of Flavor for a Good Cause?

I recently went to an event - The Furball Gala and Auction - at the Seaglass Restaurant in Salisbury Massachusetts. The food was really good. There was risotto, and sliders and other appetizers. I wish I had take some photos of the food. One appetizer was in little boats and one ate it with little forks. Since it is located in Salisbury Beach MA, they have a great view of the ocean.
The Furball Gala and Auction was a fund raiser for the Merrimack River Feline Rescue Society. They help feral cats in the Merrimack area. They raised a lot of money for the cats and everyone enjoyed themselves. Since I think they did a great job with the food at this event, I plan to try out the restaurant.
I like fund raisers where I get to eat good food. This one had some really good food. I am glad they chose where they did.
They also had sliders; turkey, lobster, mushroom. I think they were really good. One was small grilled cheese that was really good.
I think these were risotto in little 'boats' that had a little fork. There were people walking around with skewers of food but I did not get a chance to try them.

Julie and Julia And Mastering The Art Of French Cooking

I recently watched the movie (on DVD) Julie and Julia. It is about Julie going the a cookbook co-authored by Julia Child. There are scenes where they show Julia. I mention it here since it is about cooking. Julie blogs about going through the book. The movie has scenes from Julia's life and then back to Julie's life. The movie is based on the book of the same name; Julie and Julia.
The book shows the actors who portrayed Julie and Julia. It seems the movie and the book has the same cover. I think they did an excellent job.
I had bought my copy of Mastering the Art of French cooking (I have the first book and realized there was a second volume) at a book sale in a library. The person selling it did not realize what he had and I was able to get it at a good price. The date in the book I have is 1967. I will be looking for the second volume that seem to exist. I might get it in print or download a copy to either my Kindle e-book reader or Kindle software for my tablet computer.

Rainy Night and Goof Food at Penang and Tokyo

I had just went to a rally in Exeter NH and it was late. I decided to have supper at the Penang and Tokyo restaurant. I am glad I did. It was really good. I am glad they re-opened after having been closed for awhile.
The first thing I had was soup. It was brought to me while I waited for the food I ordered. I am not sure what it was but I am definitely sure it was good. I really liked it.
The main course was asparagus, shrimp and scallops in a white sauce. It was really good. I think everything was cooked just right. The white sauce was delicious and did not overwhelm the food.
This is the rice that came with the main dish. It was cooked just right.
This was the last part of the meal. Instead of using rice, they used sliced cucumber. Inside is spicy fish. I dipped in the sauce (upper left of photo). It was delicious. I think it was very creative.

Hebert's - a good place to eat

My brother and I went to Hebert's in Portsmouth NH to have lunch. We both had the seafood stuffed mushrooms. He had the bison burger. I had the The Works Burger. It was all really good.
This is the seafood stuffed mushrooms. It was really good. If one likes seafood and mushrooms, this is the dish to get.
This was the The Works burger. It was mauled (actually I ate some before remembering to take a photo). It was delicious. The onion rings were pretty good.

Hampton Airfield Cafe - where good food lands

I have eaten at the Hampton Airfield Cafe. I have eaten on the inside and outside when it is nice out. It is a little place with a cool decor. The food and service is really good. One can eat in or outside. One can view the small planes takeoff or land. It is not easy to find but worth the search for it. The sign on Route 1 / Lafayette Rd in Hampton NH is not easy to see and one drives a short distance to get there.
It is a big sign. One just has to look for it.
Here is the inside of the Hampton Airfield Cafe. It is eclectic.
Here is more of the decor.

Penang in Exeter NH - good food with a nice view.

I had lunch at Penang Tokyo in Exeter New Hampshire. It is a nice little place that has good atmosphere and great food. I had the shrimp tempura maki, egg drop soup and the lunch General Tso chicken. It was really good. The prices was very competitive. The service was really nice. It is a restaurant that I would recommend to everyone.
This is the entrance of the restaurant.
This is the egg drop soup. It was hot and delicious.
Here is the shrimp tempura maki that I had. It was delicious.
Here is the General Tso chicken that I had. It was very flavorful. The heat (as in spicy hot) was when I ate the two little peppers in the sauce, I like the bit it had.
Here is the eating area of the restaurant. It was nice and inviting.
Here is a mural that was on one wall. I believe it is a building in the Exeter NH downtown area.
Here is the view from the back window of the restaurant. It has a nice view of the river behind the building. I think it was very relaxing.

Using Ones Noodles and Company

I had lunch at Noodles and Company in Seabrook NH. I had the tomato basil bisque and the Pad Thai Noodles. Both were really good. I chose to have chicken with the Pad Thai noodles. One can choose other meat to have with it or tofu. It had a nice bite to it but it was not too spicy hot. The tomato basil bisque soup was creamy and one can taste the tomatoes and flavor. I had a small serving / cup of it.
I like the variety of pasta dishes they have plus non-pasta dishes. The place is clean and the staff is courteous. It has a very welcoming atmosphere. I think it is a place for everyone to enjoy. One can find a location near you.
