Authentic Asia Shrimp Wonton Soup

I found the Authentic Asia Shrimp Wonton Soup at the grocery store. It looks really good. The instruction seems easy to use. Since it is cooked in the microwave, it seems like it would be not only good at home but also when traveling (many hotels have microwaves in the rooms).

The box has the web site for C.P. Brands. It seems to be an international brand since there are links for different countries. Here is the one for USA. One can go to the site and click on the icon's for other countries.

Here is the shrimp wonton. It was delicious. It was easy to make. This is a stock photo but what I had did not look that much different than this photo. I did not eat it with a spoon.

Here is the box it came it. It came in a black plastic bowl with lid. I kept the bowl with lid since it looked like it was made from durable (at least to me) plastic.

It was easy to make. One took the bowl and lid out of the box and took off the plastic wrap. One added water to the fill line, a line inside the bowl. One covers the bowl but in a way that allows steam to escape. I used the lid but not covering the whole bow so steam could get out. One heated it for 2 1/2 to 3 minutes in the microwave.  I took it out of the microwave and ate the wantons with chopsticks (I usually have some wooden and fancy ones on hand) and drank the soup. It was really good. It is ideal for a appetizer or snack.

I have bought a couple of boxes of Barber Foods raw stuffed chicken breasts. It indicates that they are raw so one would know that it has to be cooked thoroughly. They have a variety of them available.

It is the first time I have used a regular oven to bake something. In the past, I have used a toaster oven. It is good for baking but limited in size of what one can put into it. With the help of my sister who is a personal cook and uses this oven on a regular basis, I was able to figure it out but it was after I had baked the chicken breasts. The next time I do it, it will be better but this time it was only singed / crispy on the bottom.

It is in the frozen section of the grocery store. I kept it frozen till I took it out to cook. I am not sure if one could allow it to thaw before cooking.

I have tried Barber Foods chicken breasts in the past but have not tried this one. It is creme brie and apple stuffed chicken breasts. It came in two separate plastic bags. Of course one removes them from the bag before cooking; otherwise, one would get a heat shrunk plastic wrap to the breast that would probably taste funny.

It was not over done even some small parts were 'crispy'. I chopped up the two chicken breasts. Once chopped up, it does not seem like a lot. I think it could feed two skinny people (who normally don't eat a lot) or one normal size person (like me - actually I am bigger than normal size). I found it to be really good. I should have photographed it before cutting them up but it looked like it does on the package (sometimes it doesn't).

I have another variety of the chicken breast. I will blog about it when I get it cooked. I will be cooking, eating and blogging about their other varieties (and most other things that I have eaten). My thinking is why just eat something and like it when one can eat something and blog on whether or not I like it or the experience of making it. There are a large variety of their stuffed chicken breasts. It will take awhile to try them all but I will give a good effort to do so.

a site on me - needs work but still good
will be improved soon

Great Food at the Hampton Beach Seafood Festival.

Ever since I moved up to NH then to MA, I try to get to the Hampton Beach Seafood Festival in Hampton Beach NH. It is held once a year and has been going on for many years. I am looking forward to next years. I have enjoyed it every year that I go.

It is very popular. There are huge number of people who attend the three day event. It lasts from Friday to Sunday. For 2017, it was September 8th to the 10th. There was a free shuttle from one of different places one could park to where the festival is held. One could buy the ticket soon after exiting the bus. This year it was $8 to get it. This does not include the cost of the food.
This is one of two tents that had food vendors in it. If one could not find something to eat in one of the tents, you are probably way too picky of an eater.

There was a huge tent for non-food vendors. There was a variety of items for sale. Some was really nice. If I had more money on me, I would have bought some it.

There was a wide variety of seafood and non-seafood (for those not into seafood). There were booths from local restaurants and companies and some not so local.

Here (above) are a few of the many food vendors in one of the two really big tents. Both were really crowded. As the day went on, it became less crowded and easier to get ones food.

Here is the fried mushrooms I had first. It was cooked very well. It was not greasy. It came with ranch dressing. I tried it with and without dressing. It was good either way. The cost was reasonable.
This was lobster cakes on what seems like a salsa. It was really good. It had a tasty sauce on top of it. The price was good considering it was made from lobsters.

This is seafood newburg. It was served over rice. It was delicious. The price was reasonable. It wasn't too much at one time. It was - like the lobster cakes - just the right portion size.

This is the strawberry shortcake that I had for desert. The strawberry and sauce was not too sweet. It was a delicious combination of short cake, strawberries and sauce, and whipped topping. It was a good price. I walked off desert while visiting the booths.

There was one downside to the festival. There was a couple of booths that one could enter to win a gift card to some store. The thing is that when one signs it, one is giving them permission to call you with pre-recorded sales pitches. I am not sure if this is true with all of this type but I did read the fine print on some and that is what they indicate. My brother entered one and kept getting telemarketers on both his cell phone and his work phone.

I am still working on it.
